With each New Year, many people make resolutions to add healthy behaviors to their daily lives, but quite often they don't know where to begin. Texercise can help get you started on the path to a healthier life. Below are some ways that Texercise resources can help you accomplish your New Year goals.
- Use the Texercise pledge sheet to help you set goals. While, you already have a resolution in mind, the pledge sheet will help you identify the steps necessary to reach your goals. Be sure to place the pledge sheet in a place of prominence to remind yourself every day of the pledge you have made to your health. (English / Spanish)
- The Texercise handbook and DVD provide detailed methods for incorporating physical activity into your everyday life. The handbook, available in English and Spanish, provides general nutrition information as well as basic, low impact exercises. The DVD provides 30 minutes of exercises in balance, strength, endurance and flexibility.
- Visit the Texercise website to access an array of information on living and staying healthy, while there check out the variety of fact sheets available. These two resources provide ongoing information as well as motivation to help you on your path to a healthier life.
- Another great resource to help you record and track your physical activity is GetFitTexas. This resource will help keep you on track by showing your progress each week. Go to the GetFitTexas website to create an account and start tracking your activity.
