Texercise is a program of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS)
Special Olympics Texas (SOTX) provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Through these opportunities, participants improve physical fitness, experience the joy from participating in events, enhance personal skills, and build friendships with other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
With shared goals of providing education and support for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to engage in physical activity, Texercise and SOTX have partnered to provide SOTX athletes and their families with information about, and access to, services and supports that encourage better individual health.
Texercise resources are available to all SOTX athletes and their families.
The Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) provides an array of services and supports for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.
