Before someone starts a health and fitness program it is important they assess their current health status. The President's Challenge website posted the "Adult Fitness Test." This online assessment is an easy way for participants to assess their current health status and begin addressing their health goals. The assessment is available both online and in hard copy.
Also included on the website is the Pre-Participation Screening Questionnaire provided by the American Heart Association and the American College of Sports Medicine. The questionnaire is intended to identify if someone is at risk for cardiovascular events during the assessment.
These tools are not designed to replace a physician's assessment of an individual's health. Participants should consult their physician before beginning this or any exercise program.
